Week 6: Photo Sharing, Flickr

Finding and sharing photos on Flickr


I used Flickr, of course, to look for pictures from Seinfeld and on Seinfeld-related topics. There were a lot (7,098 results)! I found a few to share:


First, this one uploaded by s husso, entitled "Snickers Seinfeld style." If you go to the actual Flickr link, he's labeled the candy bar and his beverage as well.

There are quite a few of the real-life diner that the one in the show was based on, such as this one posted by asmythie, called "Tom's Diner of Seinfeld Fame."

I think the best use for Flickr in the library is to share photos from library programs. If we choose a tag for them that would be on all HCPL photos, and only load photos for which we have signed permission forms, then we could use the Flickr database for putting together all sorts of library promotional materials.
